The islands in Casco Bay were called The Calendar Islands by Captain John Smith because he thought there were 365 of them.  There are about 136 islands in the bay but over 2,000 along the coast of Maine.

The American Heart Association's (Portland, Maine region) Heart of Broadway is an exciting, festive evening of dining, dancing and bidding on select Live and Silent auction items -- all to benefit research and other key efforts of the American Heart Association.
