maine day trip guest book

We cannot thank Norm enough for our wonderful day’s outing as we head for the Downeaster train back to Boston. I can highly recommend a day trip to Kennebunkport, Portland and its surrounding areas. If you wish to find Norm, check him out at mainedaytrip.com, truly worth a visit. Thank you Norm!

Friendly, courteous, and well informed about the history and highlights of Portland, Maine. Four of us were very comfortable in his private minivan. Tailored the day trip to our wants and made great suggestions, we would definitely recommend Maine Day Trip Tours to others and use him again ourselves. Thanks Norm for a great day in Portland and Kennebunkport, It was the highlight of our cruise.

Just wanted to wish you a Very Happy Christmas and a great 2013. You looked after us so well when we visited Maine in September - we told everybody just how little we would have seen without you. Very best wishes.

I came to Maine a complete stranger on a visit from the UK with my daughter. Researching for my debut novel Mortal Fire - a romantic thriller set in Maine and England - I needed specific as well as general information which I could only gain from visiting this intriguing State. With the excellent services of Norm Forgey of Maine Day Trip, my experience far surpassed expectation, the resulting information enriching not just the first book in the Mortal Fire series, but all the other subsequent novels. With quiet thoroughness, Norm understood and planned a bespoke trip that took in areas I would have found difficult to access had it not been for this thorough knowledge of the area. Gently humorous and endlessly patient, his intelligent interpretation of information made the day spent with him a highlight of our stay. My only regret is that we were too short of time to take advantage of Norm's extensive knowledge of Portland on another day. When I return to Maine for further research, I will be sure to book Maine Day Trip well in advance, and can only advise anyone considering using this service, to do the same.

I want to thank you for being so friendly, flexible and accommodating to me and my group of friends ... and giving our group a memory we will never forget.

Who lived here before I showed up on a holiday?

That's what I wonder as I travel and it's not always easy to figure out.

People explain their places, seems to me. Through the centuries. Certainly appreciate discovering Maine Day Trip because Norm Forgey took me to Portland and Bath, Rockland and Wiscasset. Fine driver, which is good, but better - he loves the history, knows the stories, and shares them not as a script, but a story he likes.

I can't imagine any better way to enjoy Portland and the region than a Day Trip with you! Thank you so very much for the wonderful stories, your in-depth knowledge of Maine's history, and the amazing side trips to unexpected sites. I am deeply grateful I had the opportunity to learn about Maine from such a generous and hospitable host. Best wishes and good fortune with all of your exciting Day Trip plans.

Thank you Norm for giving us such a personal tour of Portland, and especially taking us to your favorite spots. We really enjoyed the "Oreo cows", and the great overview and history of the Portland area.

I want to thank you for the wonderful day we had in Portland and your time in showing us the town and taking us to Bowdoin College. That was probably the best autumn colors we saw during our whole trip and the campus was beautiful. It was the highlight of our vacation.

Thank you so much for the wonderful tour of Portland - it was both educational and breathtakingly beautiful! You were by far one of the best tour guides that I have met. Everyone who visits Portland should tour the city with you. Your hospitality and willingness to accommodate me on such short notice was certainly appreciated.

I appreciate your professionalism, your knowledge (you truly know Maine and Portland very well, along with a solid historical grasp) and easygoing, responsible attitude. You truly wish to share the joy and beauty that Maine has to offer with others, and it shows wholeheartedly! Furthermore, your vehicle (with it distinctive license plate - DAYTRIP) was clean and comfortable. You planned all very well and even added the visit to Portland Head Light as a nice, unexpected surprise after we had only discussed visiting the Maine Wildlife Park. THANK YOU so very much for helping me make the most of my short stay in Maine. I hope to return and would definitely call upon your services again. Additionally, I would recommend you to anyone wishing to see those magnificent hidden corners of Maine with a local such as yourself!

Thanks so much for the wonderful tour that you provided for my group of six. It was great to see so many beautiful places and get to know the Portland area better. We would have never seen some of the places you took us to if we hadn't arranged for the tour. It was wonderful to just meet up with you, jump in the van, and let you show us the best places.

I just wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our tour. Your tour was the highlight of our cruise. I have given your info to my sister, and the travel agent to recommend to all of her clients. Once again, THANK YOU.

I loved Maine! From the moment we crossed the border and had no billboards! What a picturesque area. Loved the lobster boats, lobster for lunch and Len Libby's chocolate lobster! Thanks for sharing with us! I can't thank you enough for the enjoyable adventure... Keep exploring! It makes life fun. You are great at what you do, and you're fortunate to do it in a beautiful part of the country.

I saw parts of Maine a normal tourist would never know about - villages, galleries, museums, nature, water - a most memorable trip with information provided by a knowledgeable guide - It was wonderful!!
